Thomsonite forms within the vesicles and cavities of basaltic lava flows that make up the Deccan Traps volcanic province, which was formed during the Cretaceous period. The mineralization process involves the precipitation of silica-rich solutions within these cavities over time, leading to the formation of Thomsonite crystals.
Metaphysically, Thomsonite is thought to reduce stress, anxiety and calms hyperactivity whilst promoting inner harmony, and tranquility.
