Chocolate Calcite is a variety of calcite known for its rich, reddish-brown colour, and cubed formations, which resembles the appearance of chocolate. This stone forms from the crystallization of calcium carbonate, often found in sedimentary rock deposits. Its colour is due to the presence of hematite within the crystal structure. This specimen is a beautiful combination of red-brown coloured hematite with a second generation of transparent calcite growth.
